One of the best parts of The Flash Season 2 this year was the 21st episode titled “The Runaway Dinosaur” which was directed by filmmaker Kevin Smith who is a huge fan of the show himself. It was revealed around the same time his episode aired that he would be directing an early episode of The Flash Season 3 which is set to start filming the premiere tomorrow titled “Flashpoint.
In a new interview with Den of Geek, Smith revealed when he will be going back to Vancouver to film his episode as well as his episode number.
“I know I’m going back to The Flash, first week of September, to direct episode 7 of season 3.”
While we don’t know the title of the episode, episode 7 of The Flash each season has always been the last episode before the annual crossover with Arrow and this year we know that we will have a four-show crossover between those shows along with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl which is moving to The CW this fall for Season 2. Hopefully at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, which will be happening in a few weeks, we will find out during their panel what we might see in Smith’s episode with at least a few hints or maybe at least the episode title.
The Flash Season 3 is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 4 at 8/7c on The CW. Are you excited for Smith to direct another episode of The Flash? What do you want to see in episode 7? Let us know in the comments below.
