Entertainment Weekly revealed today that The Vampire Diaries and Teen Wolf alum, Susan Walters, has joined CW’s The Flash as the mother of Danielle Panabaker’s Caitlin Snow. She will be playing Carla Tannhauser, who is described as followed:
“Aside from being the mom of Danielle Panabaker’s character, Dr. Carla Tannhauser is a world class biomedical engineer and CEO of a major research company. But while Caitlin may have inherited her mother’s formidable scientific mind, the two have long had a difficult relationship, with Caitlin finding her mother cold and withholding, and Carla regarding her daughter as rebellious and ungrateful.”
Walters is now the fourth actor from MTV’s Teen Wolf to join the DC TV Universe as we also have Arrow’s Colton Haynes (Roy Harper/Arsenal), Supergirl’s Tyler Hoechlin (Clark Kent/Superman) and J.R. Bourne (Double Down) who guest starred in Arrow Season 4. Entertainment Weekly also mentioned that Walters has the potential to be a recurring guest star in Season 3, so time will tell how much of Mama Snow we will see.
