The fourth season of Arrow kicked off last week along with The Flash and this season, the emerald archer is facing a completely new villain, Damien Darhk (played by the great Neal McDonough) who is already causing chaos in Star City. But it appears that the fastest man alive as well as some time traveling legends will be facing Damien as well. Our good friend Russ Burlingame from Comicbook.com, revealed today that McDonough will be appearing on The Flash as well as the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow series.
In an interview, that will be posted on Comic Book later, with McDonough himself, he revealed that he will be appearing on both shows and said this to Russ:
“You go back to the League — I did an episode of Legends last week — and I look exactly the same in 1975 but you see he’s not as confident and doesn’t have such an agenda forty years ago as he does now. So it’s fun to play the different times, you know? Going back in time with Legends, and The Flash, with The Flash, I’m just this crazy, fun, enjoy everything while I kill everybody type of character. It’s just nuts. I’m enjoying the power that I have because it’s my time. It’s not Savage’s time, it’s not Ra’s al Ghul’s time; it’s Damien Darhk’s time.”
Now isn’t that interesting? While we have known that Legends of Tomorrow would be, obviously, having several tie-ins with The Flash and Arrow, could this be the hint that maybe the crossovers and tie-ins will be bigger than we realized at first? We will just have to keep watching in order to find out, but if you loved McDonough on Arrow and want more of him in the DC CW Universe, then you got it!
The Flash airs on Tuesday nights at 8/7c on The CW, with Arrow airing on Wednesday nights at 8/7c as well.
