EW broke the news that Spartacus actor Nick Tarabay has been cast in the role of Digger Harkness aka Captain Boomerang, one of The Flash’s famous Rogues and according to the report, he will be appearing in episode 7 of Arrow as well as episode 8, which is the second part of the major Flash/Arrow crossover! This is how the show describes their version of Boomerang:

“Harkness will be a former A.R.G.U.S operative, highly skilled in martial arts and espionage, with a deadly thirst for vengeance against his former employers.”

It’s interesting that they are introducing him first on Arrow before Flash, although I can buy the idea of him being introduced there first before potentially moving over to The Flash, but it might take a while as EW mentions that he is going to be in multiple episodes of season 3. I’m excited to see what Tarabay will bring to the role as it will be the first time we see Boomerang in live action!
