While we are still waiting for a longer trailer to be released by The CW for the upcoming second season of The Flash, we do have an interesting new mini-promo that aired at FOX8 in Australia recently and it features the scarlet speedster going a bit blue, which you can catch below.

For some mysterious reason, we see Barry’s eyes being shown with blue electric energy instead of the red energy that we saw at several points in season one. This could perhaps be what Grant Gustin was hinting at in recent interviews where he was saying that Barry will be getting some new abilities in the second season of The Flash.
We don’t know yet when CW will be releasing a full trailer for season two, but we know that a season four trailer for Arrow is going to be released sometime very soon by the network so maybe The Flash will release one after that. In the meantime, if you haven’t done so already, you can check out the two mini-promos that CW has released so far, “Catch Me” and “Coming Fast”.
In other The Flash related news, it was announced earlier this week that Violett Beane has been cast as DC Comics’ Jesse Quick (which Adam has released a character profile for) as a recurring guest star and Demore Barnes has been cast as the Firestorm villain Tokamak for an upcoming episode of the new season. In addition, Malese Jow will be returning to the show, reprising the role of Linda Park for multiple episodes.
So while we are waiting like crazy for more new footage, all these casting announcement is just as good to sink our teeth into as we wait for season two of The Flash to premiere in just a few weeks!
The Flash premieres its second season on Tuesday, October 6, 8/7c on The CW.
