The Flash is reaching the end of its second season and next week’s episode is going to be a huge one, especially if you are a fan of filmmaker Kevin Smith. After tonight’s episode “Rupture”, the CW aired a promo for the 21st episode of Season 2 titled “The Runaway Dinosaur” which was directed by the nerdy filmmaker who is a huge fan of the series. It was announced back in January during the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, that Smith would be directing an episode of the fastest man alive. The biggest question now is: will we actually be seeing a dinosaur on The Flash somehow?
Maybe we will, maybe we won’t, but keep in mind that this is a show that is about a man with super-speed that has fought a walking mind-controlling gorilla as well as a giant walking talking shark, so anything is possible with The Flash! We will also be seeing Smith’s longtime friend Jason Mewes, best known as Jay from the Clerks films, Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back and Mallrats.
You can check out the promo below along with the official description from The CW for “The Runaway Dinosaur”, but be aware of some potential spoilers.
“KEVIN SMITH DIRECTS – With Barry (Grant Gustin) gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy – Girder (guest star Greg Finley). Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris (Candice Patton) volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs. Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life. Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Zack Stentz (FL221). Original airdate 5/10/2016.”
The Flash airs on Tuesday nights at 8/7c on The CW. Are you excited for Kevin Smith’s episode of The Flash? Let us know in the comments below!
