As we are full into the new exciting season of The Flash, the CW has released an official description for the fifth episode titled “The Darkness and the Light”. This is the episode that will introduce the DC Comics character, Doctor Light.
While we have seen her in the sizzle reel that was released at New York Comic Con the other week, we have still not gotten an official casting announcement for who will be playing Kimiyo Hoshi a.k.a. Doctor Light and the description doesn’t list the actress either in the guest list. There is also a little bit of a mini Arrow/The Flash crossover, at least on the writing credits as this episode was co-written by Arrow’s Ben Sokolowski.
“DR. LIGHT COMES THROUGH THE BREACH — Barry (Grant Gustin) learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her. Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-2 and that Barry can reason with her. However, during a fight with The Flash, she blinds him and drops some shocking news about Zoom. Meanwhile, Barry and Patty (Shantel VanSanten) go out on a date. Steve Shill directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Grainne Godfree (#205). Original airdate 11/3/2015.”
